Longevity Gala In celebration of Self-Help for the Elderly's 42nd year serving the seniors in our community, the annual Longevity Gala will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2008, at the Hyatt Regency, San Francisco Airport in Burlingame. Over 1,200 guests attend this event, which benefits our programs in San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara and Alameda County. Since 1966, Self-Help for the Elderly has served the seniors in the Bay Area by providing them with a comprehensive range of social, health, employment and educational services.

The evening will include a Children’s Fashion Show as well as youth performances from Crystal Children’s Choir and YaoYong Dance, a Live Auction of exciting prize packages, a Silent Auction of over 200 fabulous items, a Grand Raffle of 1 luxury item and a General Raffle of 10 valuable prizes. Over 1,200 guests throughout the San Francisco Bay Area attend the event. Come celebrate our anniversary and the future generations!

Founded in March 1994, Crystal Children's Choir is a community-based organization located in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is recognized as an outstanding choral organization for boys and girls aged six and up. Crystal Children's Choir has toured in Europe and across North America in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York City and Davies Hall in San Francisco.

Yao Yong Dance (YYD) is led by the award-winning Artisitic Director of Chinese Performing Artists of America. Mr. Yao is an accomplished dancer, choreographer and instructor from Beijing Dance Academy -- China's most prestigious dance institution. With an emphasis on basic training and body rhythm, members of YYD are introduced to various Chinese Folk, Ethnic, and Classical Dances. The group has been showcased on national and internationsl stages.
